The final protective and custody-related orders were entered without granting Diane any form of access.
Sole decision-making authority for Noah remained with Ryan and me. The long-term order prohibited Diane from contact, from approaching our residence or any place Noah regularly appeared, and from attempts to obtain information through third parties. Supervised visitation was neither requested by Ryan nor ordered by the court. The original recording and the medical documentation continued to outweigh claims of overreaction and family alienation.
Ryan completed the last administrative separations. Joint documents that had once included Diane as a secondary contact were rewritten. Family photographs and shared digital albums were adjusted so that her image no longer occupied daily space. Holiday and gathering plans were made without reference to her availability. He performed none of this with visible anger. He performed it with consistency. The correction that had begun the moment the recording played in the living room had become the standing rule of the household.

Noah’s development continued on ordinary schedules. Pediatric visits remained routine. The history of the drop stayed in his chart as a fixed entry rather than an active concern. I watched him move through the early milestones of mobility and language inside a home where the person who had put him on the carpet no longer held a key, a code, or a place on any authorization list. The absence was deliberate and maintained.
My sister remained the one adult outside the marriage who had been present for the full sequence and had acted to preserve the evidence. Her continued place in our lives required no formal acknowledgment. She had opened the monitor app. She had stated the facts when they were still contested. That record stood.
