Years after the courtyard, the correction required no further public restatement. It had become the baseline of the record.
Formal recovery processes reached their institutional conclusions. Material portions of the redirected education funds were accounted for and pursued under the demands counsel had maintained from the first preservation letters. The forged instruments remained part of the contested file; where comparison and channel evidence supported findings, those findings stood. The clinic documentation of the slap stayed attached and unrevised. Arthur and Victoria’s successive attempts to reframe the fund as informal support and the podium as disproportionate attack failed against the same dates, amounts, signatures, and witnesses that had been present the day the cap hit the pavement.

I did not monitor their private adjustments. Occasional messages—through counsel or through residual relatives—still sought softer language or a restoration of family framing. They received no reply that reopened the baseline. The baseline was the scholarship letter, the transfer timeline, the false reports to relatives, and the open hand in front of a graduating class. Time did not convert those facts into misunderstanding. The file ensured the conversion could not succeed quietly.
